Sony Music

I am looking into into Sony music to aid my research and strengthen my work around my music video and the brief- the brief asks students to make a website of a fictional artist and their made up career being signed to Sony music.

Sony began in 1887 with invention of Columbia records, the oldest surviving record label in the industry. Sony have signed many artists from most music genres; some of the big time artists they have signed vary from the old school artists such as the likes of Snoop Dog, to the new generation of artists like Headie One- a rap musician from the impoverished neighbourhoods of north London. In the UK, Columbia, RCA, Ministry of Sound, Since ’93, Relentless, Black Butter, Insanity, Dream Life Records, 5K Records, Robots + Humans, WEAREBLK, Music For Nations and The Orchard are part of the Sony Music family and represent a hugely diverse roster of artists.

There is a total of 112 of artists on the Sony music roster, from all different countries and genres, providing the best world class music and entertainment to viewers across the globe, which is ultimately their mission.
