LipSync draft

This is a very quick, mini music video we shot as a practice to get an idea of what it is going to be like filming a music video with different cuts, shots angles etc. It has helped us to gain some sort of experience in actually shooting a music video. We were also able to make some observations, which helped us identify what was successful and what to not repeat for our final product.

The duration of this video is approximately a minute and it features 3 different shots all in different locations, filmed with a fish-eye lens as we believed it gave the video more character, seeing as we were not given a lot of time to plan nor direct the mini video.

We was successful with the editing part of the music video. Despite the minimal practice we have had in editing videos like these we were able to a produce a video which had very good lip sync to the lyrics of the song.

However, this practice run has also made me realise that the actor must know the lyrics perfectly well, in order to help the editor achieve a perfect lip sync with the music that is featured.
